Terms of Service
Last updated: July 9, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the doclinth PDF generation API and dashboard (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
1. The Service
doclinth lets you author document templates and generate PDFs from structured data you send to our API. We may update, improve, or change features over time. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.
2. Accounts and API keys
You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and API keys and for all activity that occurs under them. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
3. Plans, quotas, and billing
Paid plans are billed through our merchant of record, Dodo Payments. Each plan includes a monthly PDF generation allowance; requests beyond your allowance may be rejected until you upgrade or the next billing period begins. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change pricing with reasonable notice.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- generate unlawful, fraudulent, infringing, or harmful documents;
- probe, scan, or attempt to breach the Service, including using template content to reach internal or private network resources (SSRF) or to exfiltrate data;
- circumvent quotas, rate limits, or security controls;
- resell the Service in a way that competes directly with it without our written consent;
- upload content you do not have the rights to process.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that put the Service or other customers at risk.
5. Your content
You retain all rights to the templates, data, and documents you submit (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited license to process Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service. Our handling of Your Content is described in our Privacy Policy.
6. AI-assisted authoring
The template authoring assistant sends your prompts and template drafts (not the data you later render) to third-party AI providers. If you use PDF import, you authorize us to send that uploaded PDF to an AI provider solely to create a template draft. AI output may be inaccurate; you are responsible for reviewing imported and generated templates before use.
7. Warranties and disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that generated PDFs will be error-free or fit for any particular purpose.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, doclinth will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim arising out of the Service will not exceed the amounts you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access for breach of these Terms or to comply with law. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases; sections that by their nature should survive will survive.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, by additional notice. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
